Chocolat!
cacao paste, milk powder, grilled almonds and honey.
project for the Festival BBI 2008 of Fribourg.
This intervention acts as an interference of the city network. ?For this project, diffusers are installed on 4 lines of the tramway of the city of Fribourg.? The movement of the reams generates an air movement which is passing through these diffusers. A flow of smell spreading out automatically. The smelling substance, in the diffusers is shaken and it perfumes the city. ?Fribourg is the historic homeland of Nestlé/Cailler firm. The developments of the city and this company are connected. Moreover, it is well known that the Swiss have a leger tilting for the chocolate. This installation is based on the four main ingredients of Cailler chocolate. Each of the four smells follow the four city tramway lines, each one has a specific sent. The connections of the city between industry, his ecomomy and his geography are so underlined.? The various chocolate recipes are conceptually reconstructed in the course of the intersections of the city network. The ultimate recipe of Chocmel appears only once, just at the centre of the city!
