This exhibition results from a first discovery of the Kyoto. During 2 weeks, I walked along the streets, the craftshops, the temples, the mountains so as to produce a new body of artworks that sums up my feeling of this amazing inspiring city, culture and of course smells.
Artworks realized :
Straddling between worlds, 2015
Water from the Imperial Garden Spring, Moss from the mountain, IR light, Sou-Sou textile, Shoyeido incense, dried fish, Udon sauce, mentha canadensis, yuzu, green tea, wood and bamboo structure.
Telescope, 2015
Block of pine wood founded into the forest, wood stand painted with ‘orange temple’ colour, Sou-Sou textile and Kodo ceremony charcoal.
L’arbre perché, 2015
Branch of Kaki tree, japanese stilts and few fresh kakis
My Tokonoma, 2015
Master craftman rope, kokedama (bonzaï pine tree), Oncidium flexuosum, wood jar and cup of Matcha tea
