Puits Couriot, Parc- Musee de la Mine de Saint-Etienne - 2019
This project try to link the history of coal mining which is the start of the industrial revolution and the massive change we face if we want to sustainably continue to produce. Climate change is at the hearth of this project.
La Révolution Lignivore is some kind of artistic composting station.
Half tool, half sculpture, this artwork attempts to rally the questions of recycling organic/green waste and minimizing our carbon footprint by being made with local wood and built with hand hammers.
Dynamic as biological life is, this sculpture can move along its axe to regularly recreate the compost heap. By doing so, it refreshes the oxygen and helps the lignivorous microorganisms to decompose the waste. At the end of the process, this sculpture will produce carbon-free fertilizer for any kind of cultural fields.
How to sustain life with no more waste?
